Synopsis
The Carbon agenda is hitting 5000 organisations in the UK this year. At this interactive roundtable, Tony will share the experiences of Logica UK’s success in reducing carbon emissions by 23% in 3 years and saving £14m at the same time, and how Logica are shaping up for the CRC.
Participants will also be invited to share project successes and experiences: both good and bad – to learn from each other and see what is possible.

Head of Environment and Sustainability
Logica UK Ltd
Biography
Tony Rooke is Logica’s Head of Environment and Sustainability. He is responsible for directing a consultancy team, specialising in sustainability offerings incorporating Sustainability Strategy, Carbon Management & Reduction, Green IT and Renewable Strategy. This includes development of the sustainability business with a multi-million pound pipeline.

Tony sits on the National Outsourcing Association’s Green Board and is a regular presenter on sustainability best practice, carbon reporting, energy efficiency and green IT at conferences across all vertical sectors. He has featured in many publications including the Times, Reuters, Environmental Finance, Computer Weekly, and Insider Business. Tony drives strategy, marketing and proposition development on Logica’s Global Energising Sustainability Board. He acts as special advisor on the UK and Global Environmental Steering Committees, providing direction on strategy, policy, stakeholder engagement and communications.

During his 13 years with Logica, Tony has created and rolled out several sustainability initiatives, most notably the Logica “Stamp Down Our Carbon Footprint’. This programme was created to promote environmental awareness and reduce the company’s environmental impact. This has delivered wide-reaching success to the triple bottom line, including over £14m pound cost savings and reducing Logica UK's emissions by 23% reduction, and exceeding the target of 12.5% by 2010 by 2 years.

The success of Logica’s internal programmes has propelled Logica to be ranked as the leading IT Services Company and 16th overall in both 2008 & 2009 Sunday Times Green Companies award. Other external recognition includes lead IT Services company on the Carbon Disclosure Project's Climate Disclosure Leadership Index (2009), Business Green Award for “Travel Emissions Reduction” (2009) and top 15 greenest outsourcers globally for three years in a row (Brown-Wilson).
