Synopsis
If you are to flourish in the low carbon economy, it is imperative understand the business case as it applies to your organisation. All too often great opportunities are missed due to silo thinking and a misunderstanding of the big picture.

This roundtable aims to broaden your horizons and get an understanding of how to position your business in the sustainability agenda. We will also be considering potential pitfalls and how they can be avoided.

Biography
Gareth Kane has spent the last 12 years working with organisations to embed sustainability into their activities. He has worked with several hundred businesses, public sector bodies and charities, and trained over 1000 individuals on sustainability issues. His consultancy firm, Terra Infirma, has an impressive client list including the NHS, Aker Solutions, The Design Council, East Coast Mainline and AEA Technology Ltd.

Gareth appears regularly as a media pundit on sustainability issues on, for example, the BBC Six O’Clock News, Countryfile, The Politics Show and local radio. In 2008 The Journal newspaper named Gareth as a ‘Rising Star, Future Leader’ for his work on sustainability. His first book, The Three Secrets of Green Business, was published in 2009 and he's currently working on the sequel, The Green Executive.
